School plant rooms replaced in the holidays, not in January

Plant room replacement, whole-school gas testing and safety checks, sports hall heating and planned maintenance for schools and colleges across Sussex, Hampshire and the South East.

Rebuilt plant room at Portchester Community School with a four-boiler Ideal wall-hung cascade

School plant rooms tend to get left until something fails, and the failure lands in term time. Replacing on a planned basis means the work happens in a holiday and the building comes back with heating that is not going to catch anyone out in January.

We rebuilt the plant room at Portchester Community School from strip-out to commissioning, ran stainless steel heating pipework to supply a school sports hall with extra heat, and carry out whole-school gas testing and safety check days.

What matters in this sector

The questions you are already asking

Works have to fit the holidays

We programme plant room replacements for Easter, summer or half-term windows and agree the sequence with the site manager so the school opens on time with heat on.

Gas safety across a whole site

Whole-school gas testing and safety checks in a day, with every appliance and every gas point recorded, so the site's compliance file is complete.

Budgets that release annually

Phased designs let a school replace the plant that matters most first and add to it in the next financial year, without repeating work.

Safeguarding on site

DBS-checked engineers, signed in and escorted per the school's policy, working areas contained and secured.

Schools & Colleges: common questions

Can you complete a plant room replacement within a school holiday?

Usually, yes. A typical school plant room is a one to two week job once the design is agreed and kit is on site. We survey and design in term time so the window is spent installing, not planning.

Do you do whole-school gas safety checks?

Yes. We carry out whole-site gas testing and safety check days and issue the certificates for the site's compliance file.
