Commercial plant rooms
Plant rooms designed, built and maintained as one system
From a tired boiler room to a commissioned, documented plant room: boilers, cylinders, pumps, pressurisation, controls and the paperwork. Sussex, Brighton and London.

We provide complete plant room solutions for commercial properties, industrial facilities, healthcare environments, educational establishments and large residential blocks across Brighton, Sussex and London. We are approved commercial partners and service agents for Hamworthy Heating, Ideal Commercial Boilers, Keston Heating and ACV.
A plant room is a system, not a boiler. We design, install, refurbish, maintain and repair the whole thing, so there is one contractor and one point of contact for everything behind the door.
What's included
- Plant room design and consultancy
- Full installation and commissioning
- Strip-out and refurbishment of existing plant rooms
- Boiler cascades and modular plant
- Hot water cylinders, calorifiers and instantaneous units
- Pumps, pressurisation units and expansion vessels
- Controls, BMS integration and system balancing

Design and consultancy
Our engineers provide complete plant room design and consultancy for commercial and industrial properties. We work with clients, consultants and contractors to develop efficient, compliant and future-proof heating and hot water systems for each building, starting from a heat-loss assessment and how the building is actually used across a day, not the size of the plant that was there before.

Installation and commissioning
We deliver complete plant room installations, from boiler and pipework through to controls integration and final commissioning. Every system is tested, commissioned and documented before handover, so it runs safely and efficiently from day one and your compliance team has the records.
Recent plant rooms include a full strip-out and rebuild at Portchester Community School (four-boiler Ideal cascade, new headers and pumps, sealed floor), a care home plant room with two Keston Heat 2 55kW boilers and a Rinnai 500L hot water system with backup immersion, and a Tesco Extra upgrade with two Ideal iMax Xtra 280kW boilers.

Pumps and pressurisation
We specialise in the installation and replacement of commercial pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels and associated equipment. Correct operating pressure across the heating network is what keeps a plant room reliable; it is also the part most often neglected on an ageing system.
Efficiency improvements and optimisation
Boiler plant upgrades, controls enhancements, system balancing and performance analysis that reduce energy consumption and running costs. On most existing plant rooms there are practical improvements that pay back well inside the life of the equipment, and we will tell you which ones are worth doing.

Planned preventative maintenance
Regular maintenance keeps commercial heating systems operating safely and efficiently. Our planned preventative maintenance programmes minimise breakdowns, extend equipment lifespan, maintain compliance and reduce costly downtime across the year. We maintain plant rooms from a single care home to a 2,750kW bank serving 375 apartments.

Commercial Plant Rooms: common questions
How long does a plant room replacement take?
It depends on the size of the plant and the access. A typical school or care home plant room is a one to two week job once the design is agreed and the kit is on site, and we phase the changeover so heat and hot water stay on wherever the plant allows.
Do you manage the whole project or just the mechanical work?
We take the project from survey and design through installation, commissioning and handover, including the electrical and controls integration with your existing BMS where there is one. If your consultant has already specified the plant we will install to that specification.
Can you refurbish rather than replace?
Often, yes. Where the boilers have life left we can replace pumps, pressurisation, headers and controls, re-balance the system and bring the room up to current standards without the cost of new plant. A survey tells us which route makes sense.
Which manufacturers do you use?
We are approved commercial partners and service agents for Ideal Commercial Boilers, Hamworthy Heating, Keston Heating and ACV, and specify Rinnai and other hot water plant where it fits. We are not tied to one brand; we fit what suits the building.
