Plant room upgrade on a live supermarket
Two Ideal iMax Xtra 280kW boilers and new magnetic system filters installed at a Tesco Extra, planned around trading hours.
The challenge
Retail sites cannot afford heating and hot water going down during trading hours. The existing plant needed replacing, and the store needed to keep trading through the work.
What we did
Plant room work on a live store is planned around the business rather than the other way round. We scheduled the strip-out and install to keep services available through trading, and specified two Ideal iMax Xtra 280kW boilers with new magnetic system filters to protect the new plant from debris in the existing system and keep it running efficiently.
The outcome
Plant room upgrade completed with the store trading throughout. New plant protected by magnetic filtration, commissioned and documented.
